Today's Recommended Jobs
VFX Work Experience is only on MFJF, and it's a rare one: a world-leading visual effects studio opening its London doors to 15 to 18 year olds for a week, Monday to Friday. You'd work on a real brief with their team, sit in on workshops and talks covering concept art, CG modelling and more, and meet both other beginners and the people already doing the job. No experience needed, which is exactly the point. Most useful thing you can do: say in a few honest lines what pulled you towards VFX, and show something you've made, however rough. Get it in today. Placements like this are read as they land and filled by the people who got there first.
Scenic Production Assistant is with an event production company in Derby, paid, and it's a good route in if you like building things and making a set happen on the day. Hands-on crew work in the East Midlands doesn't come up often, and this one will be shortlisted off the early applications, so don't sit on it.
If you have any questions about any of the opportunities or would like any advice regarding your career, please feel free to email me anytime.
Best wishes,
Jess
