Today's Recommended JobsTo add to the fantastic variety of jobs on our site at the moment, we have some more new ones today, two of which I'd like to recommend to you in particular... This is another MFJF exclusive. A nationwide Film Festival wants readers to work through competition scripts, which means reading unproduced screenplays and forming a view on what's working and what isn't. That's the skill development and script departments actually hire for, and it's hard to practise anywhere else so this is a valuable and highly recommended opportunity, which has always proven to be popular with your fellow members. Timings get sorted with whoever gets picked. If you would like a shot, write a few honest lines about the last script or film that you had strong opinions about and why. Get it in today: festivals read as the applications land and quietly settle on their readers early, so being in the first handful counts for more than a polished CV sent later. On the other side of the industry sits Distribution and this London-based, award-winning, Distributor is once again offering working experience placements to MFJF Members. This is the perfect opportunity if you are interested in how films are marketed, released and distributed to global audiences. If you have any questions about any of the opportunities or would like any advice regarding your career, please feel free to email me anytime. Best wishes, Jess |
