Show Us Your Workspace
No two days in this industry look the same, and neither do our desks.
Mine has been a folding table in a production office buried under call sheets and revised pages. It's also been the back of a van, a hotel lobby at 5am, and a corner of base camp where the coffee was still warm and the sun hadn't come up yet.
That's the thing about this business. Wherever you land that day, that's the office.
This week, we want to see yours.
Snap a photo of wherever you're working right now. On set, behind the camera, in the edit bay, backstage, in the art department, at a sound station, on a studio lot — or at your kitchen table, if that's where the work is happening. No staging, no filters. We want the real thing.
Send us:
- One photo
- Your name and your current role (or the one you're working toward)
- Where it was taken, if you'd like to share
- A sentence about what makes that spot yours
Two favorites get featured in next week's Friday MFJF Daily Email and across our social channels. Both winners get a free month of MFJF Pro!
It doesn't matter if you're on a studio feature, shooting a short with friends, interning in a production office, or cutting a passion project at midnight. Everyone working in this industry started somewhere, and most of those somewheres weren't glamorous.
Show us where you are right now. We'll be watching for them.
Disclaimer: One thing before you hit send: if you're under an NDA — and on most shows you are — protect it. No script pages, no monitors, no unreleased sets or talent in the frame. Flip the call sheet face-down. Your workspace is still the shot. If you're not sure, ask your production office.
Got questions about these opportunities, or just want to talk through where you're headed? We'd love to hear from you — that's literally why we're here.
All the Best,
Liv
