Where in the World Are You? Tell Us!This week at My First Job in Film, we're turning the spotlight on you, our members. You're the heart of this community, and we want to get to know you a little better. Here's the thing: film and television production happens all over the country. Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, New Mexico, Chicago, Texas, and plenty of places in between all have crews working right now. When we know where our members live and what they're hoping to do, we can do a much better job of finding and sharing job postings that fit you. A great Set PA gig doesn't help much if it's two thousand miles from your front door. So we're asking a small favor. Hit reply to this email and answer three quick questions: 1. Where are you currently located? City and state is perfect. If you're open to traveling or relocating for work, tell us that too. 2. How long have you been an MFJF member? Whether you joined last week or you've been with us for years, we want to hear from you. 3. What are your career aspirations? Maybe you want to be a Production Coordinator, a 1st AD, a Line Producer, or a cinematographer. Maybe you're still figuring it out, and that's completely fine. Tell us where you'd like to end up, even if the path isn't clear yet. That's it. Your answers take about two minutes to write, and they go straight to our team. We read every response. What you share helps us shape everything we do, from the jobs we post to the workshops we plan through MFJF Academy. If we see a lot of members in one region, we'll work harder to connect with productions there.
